Romania’s exports to Czech Republic

Exports consist mainly of machinery, devices, and electric equipment (35,7%); vehicles and transport equipment (13,80%), basic metals and metal articles (20,5%); Chemical products and plastic materials (12,14%); textile materials (8,2%) and so forth.

Imports from the Czech Republic

Imports consist mainly of machinery, devices, and electric equipment (23,3%); vehicles and transport equipments (29,74%); basic metals and metal articles (11,97%); chemical products (8,3%); plastics, rubber and various products of this kind (7%).

Economic co-operation (joint companies)

On December  31 2005, over 270 Czech companies with Czech capital were registered in Romania with a total investment (social capital) amounting more than 9,0 millions USD (among the countries investing in Romania, the Czech Republic ranks 48th).

Seven joint companies with Romanian investment (social capital) are operating on Czech territory, as follows:

  1. VS MONT SRO, Usti Nad Labem (construction – assembling);
  2. MONTIZOLA SRO, Usti Nad Labem (commercial operation);
  3. ALLIANCE V.J. SRO, Prague (selling Romanian cars – Dacia Logan);
  4. ROMAGRIS SRO, Prague (imports fruits and vegetables);
  5. PLANET DRINK SRO, Prague (imports mineral water, juices, sweets and so forth);
  6. MONIMEX SRO, Usti nad Labem (foreign commerce);
  7. FAIRNICO SRO, Prague (foreign commerce).
